Who are we?

Welcome to the BEULAH Foundation.

Who are we?
The BEULAH Foundations offers Legal aid and Education and is an Pan-African Independent Non Governmental Organization that started out in Aruba. We have since developed a bigger net work and are currently active within the Caribbean, Europe and as per 2024 we will launch our first projects in the United States.

The letters of the name BEULAH, stand for:
Black
Empowerment
Unity
Liberty
Advocacy
Human rights.

Our activities concentrate on bringing awareness and empowerment.

What is our Mission?
Our mission is to empower people and bring awareness. To do so we have been using the Educational TIME principle:
Teach,
Inform,
Motivate and
Educate.

The BEULAH Foundation was founded by Gisele Sint Jago along with the board members on October 3rd 2011 in memory of her mother, elementary school and highschool teacher Mrs. Beulah D. Philips.

Mrs Philips was the first one in her family to get an opportunity to study in the Netherlands. Upon her return to the Dutch Caribbean, she tirelessly helped numerous children achieve a higher education even though the odds were against them. For health reasons she relocated to the Netherlands where she spent the last 25 years of her life teaching, until her early passing at the age of 65 in the year 2000.

What do we do?
The BEULAH Foundation started out as an educational foundation, but now also has a legal department.

Next to offering parents and students education and information, the BEULAH foundation published children’s books, organized Summer School and Camps, and study and career advice legal for students and their parents.

Our first international project was the educational TV-Show: TV-Teach, Wak Pa Bo Siña! (Watch and Learn) that was televised in the Windward Islands (A, B, C) and The Netherlands.

Where do we operate?
The BEULAH Foundation started out in Aruba, but is currently operating through the entire Kingdom of the Netherlands:
Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Maarten and The Netherlands (Europe).
